Nitrile O-rings are widely used in a wide range of applications where it will be exposed to hydrocarbons, oils, petrol, water, hydraulic fluids, Petroleum greases, mineral oils, vegetable oils, aliphatic hydrocarbons, hydraulic fluids (HFA, HFB, HFC types). 

This material has limited resistance to dilute acids, alkalis, and solvents.

Nitrile compounds are not resistant to ozone, sunlight, or weather. They should not be kept near electric motors or other ozone-producing equipment.
